Who We Are

BarSpeed is a training platform built by Pose Arcade. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information collected through the BarSpeed iOS and iPadOS applications, our marketing site, and any support interactions.

Information We Collect

  • Account details: name, email address, authentication identifiers, sport preferences, and subscription status stored via Firebase Authentication and RevenueCat.
  • Training metrics: rep counts, bar velocity, power calculations, range of motion, highlight clips, and session notes generated when you use BarSpeed.
  • Device diagnostics: LiDAR calibration data, device model, operating system version, crash logs, network status, and sensor health to help keep the app stable and secure.
  • Support communications: messages, attachments, and contact details you send to alec@posearcade.com when requesting help.
  • Website usage: basic analytics such as page views, referral sources, and device type collected through privacy-focused measurement tools. We do not sell or rent personal information.

How We Use Data

  • Deliver, personalize, and improve BarSpeed features, including onboarding defaults, live coaching overlays, and session summaries.
  • Provide customer support, investigate issues, and respond to bug reports or feature requests.
  • Process subscriptions, free trials, and purchase history through Apple's in-app purchase systems.
  • Improve training accuracy and safety by refining LiDAR models, motion tracking, and velocity calculations.
  • Comply with legal obligations, enforce our Terms of Use, and protect the rights of BarSpeed users and Pose Arcade.

On-Device Sensors and Media

LiDAR depth data, camera frames, and ReplayKit recordings are processed on-device to compute bar path and generate highlight clips. Raw captures stay local unless you export, share, or sync them to cloud services you choose. You can revoke camera, motion, or microphone permissions at any time through iOS Settings, but some BarSpeed features may stop working.

How We Share Information

  • Service providers: RevenueCat (subscriptions), Firebase (authentication and analytics), Apple (in-app purchases), and secure video processing partners help us operate the service under data protection agreements.
  • Coaches you invite: You control when training data is shared with coaches, teammates, or competitions via exports and share links.
  • Legal reasons: We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, or a valid legal request.

We do not sell personal information or use training data for advertising.

Data Retention and Security

We retain account information while you maintain an active BarSpeed profile. Training sessions remain stored until you delete them or request account deletion. We apply encryption, access controls, and audit logging to safeguard stored data. No method of transmission or storage is 100 percent secure; notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

Your Choices

  • Update profile defaults, notification settings, and session retention in the app settings menu.
  • Export or delete workouts directly from the session summary screen.
  • Request a copy of your data or ask us to delete your account by emailing alec@posearcade.com with the subject line "BarSpeed Data Request".
  • Opt out of non-essential email updates by clicking the unsubscribe link in any BarSpeed message.

Children

BarSpeed is designed for athletes aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data without parental consent, contact us so we can remove it.

International Users

BarSpeed operates from the United States. If you access the service from another region, you consent to processing and storing your information in the United States and other locations where our service providers operate.

Updates to This Policy

We will revise this Privacy Policy as our practices evolve. Material changes will be posted in the app and on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of BarSpeed after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
